Round 4 Match Preview | HUCC 1st XI v The Melbourne Dazzlers

It is a top of the table clash between E Grades two undefeated sides. Hampton United 1st XI take on the Melbourne Dazzlers in a One Day match on Sunday 26 November at Sillitoe Reserve, starting from 1:00pm.

Tatterson Park was unavailable for the Melbourne Dazzlers, which meant that the fixture was changed to able to have a match. Both teams are undefeated and have made very positives starts to the season.

The Melbourne DazzlersThe Melbourne Dazzlers are currently on top of the E Grade ladder and are clear of Hampton United by percentage. Their wins have been against East Bentleigh Central, the Victorian Cavaliers, and Elwood.

​The Dazzlers have lost just 20 wickets this season, the lowest in the competition. They have also made 725 runs as a team. Fahmid Ahmed has scored the most runs in the competition (224 runs), including a century. With the ball, they have taken 27 wickets, the fourth lowest in the competition.

In their clash against Elwood, their top order batsmen failed to start, but it was their middle order of Mishra and S Singh (as well as Elwood’s extras) which got them to 7/181 in just 49.3 overs.
